What We Look For
We look for resilient businesses that can keep getting better.
We are interested in companies with real operating substance. Not every business needs to be perfect, but the evidence has to be clear enough to understand the risks and the plan.
Established UK SMEs
Profitable companies with a trading record, a defined customer base, and a service that solves a recurring practical need.
Recurring or predictable revenue
Contracted work, repeat customers, scheduled routes, retained relationships, or other evidence that revenue is not starting from zero each month.
Clean management accounts
Financial information does not need to be elaborate, but it should be reliable enough to support sensible diligence and lending conversations.
Strong teams
Businesses with capable managers, supervisors, and technicians are easier to preserve and easier to improve.
Customer contracts and diversification
We like secured customer relationships and avoid businesses where one customer or one relationship creates most of the value.
Reduced owner dependency
A founder can still be important, but the business should not collapse when the owner takes a holiday.
